Terms of ordering
Plain English, because a wholesale buyer should not need a lawyer to work out what happens after they press send.
Nothing is charged on this website
The order form sends a request, not a payment. No card details are taken and no money moves until we have confirmed the order and issued an invoice.
We quote, we do not publish rates
There are no prices on this website. Chilli is a market crop and the rate moves week to week with the season, the weather and the volume, so any figure printed here would be wrong within a fortnight. We quote against the day you order.
A quote we send you covers the fruit, the freight to your address and GST, itemised, and holds for as long as it says on it. Nothing is firm until it appears on that quote or on an invoice from us.
Minimum order
10 cartons per variety. A mixed order needs at least that many of each line. Most of our lines pack to 6 kg a carton, so that is usually 60 kg; Thai chilli packs to 7 kg, so it is 70 kg. The weight for the line you are ordering is shown on its own page.
Stock and availability
Everything is picked to order. Availability depends on the season and on what comes off the bush, so an order request is accepted subject to the fruit being there. If we cannot fill it we will tell you before invoicing rather than quietly shorting the consignment.
Freight, title and risk
Freight is quoted against your delivery address and added to the invoice. We currently freight to QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, SA, TAS, WA, NT.
Produce is carried by a third party carrier. Risk passes on delivery to the address you gave us. Title passes when the invoice is paid in full.
Payment
By invoice, issued once the order, the freight and the pick date are confirmed. Payment terms are stated on the invoice.
Changing or cancelling an order
An order can be changed or cancelled at no cost any time before it is picked, because until then nothing has been cut. Once fruit has been picked and packed against your order it cannot go back into stock, so a cancellation after that point may be charged.
If something arrives wrong
See the produce claims page. In short: photograph it on arrival and tell us within 24 hours.
